Below we have listed the databases we think will be the most useful and the order in which we suggest you access them depending if if you want to search by country or by environment issue.
Step 1 – Find an environmental related topic in an Asian country.
1) World Geography
As you may not be sure of what specific environment issues exist in each country, World Geography is a good place to start as you can access information on each country and under environment it will discuss particular issues
2) Facts on File – Science Online
This will provide a list of environmental issues. Some issues may be more interesting to you than others. You can use this to find out more about a particular issue and then on focus on a particular country. Facts on file will also help you once you have decided your topic
Step 2 – After deciding on a Topic
3) Encyclopedia Britannica
A good place to go to get either an overview of a broad topic or more specific information
4) SIRS Researcher
Once you have decided on your topic, this is good place to go for either more information or to see if it discusses your topic from different points of view. For example: “Should population control measures be enacted?”
5) Newsbank
A good place go for recent information on your topic.
